Aoe2 hd porting kit reddit12/3/2023 ![]() Something about DXKV shaders or something but I don't really know what that means and the thread didn't seem to come to a conclusion. The only thing I can find on the web is this reddit thread: On the M1, it causes some severe slowdown/stuttering but if I click off the the market I can usually salvage it. the old version stopped working so I downloaded the new, it loads really quickly but then looks like this in-game. it basically causes the whole game to come to a grinding halt and I basically have to Force Kill the game. Porting Kit used to work great for AOE on my Mac. On my Intel Mac which is a bit on the older side. 6 with Porting Kit 4 Beta on a MacBook Air (Intel HD 5000 video driver). But when I finally try to launch the game, I get an error: 'Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition minimum specification requires a DirectX 11 compatible display adaptor. It has some occasional micro stuttering and occasional audio glitches but besides that it runs ok-ish. Have been playing AOE2 on mac using Porting Kit, with the recent update.
